Akismet lost performance?

Christian Decker wrote this in the late afternoon:
I’m really happy how Akismet worked in the past, it protected me from nearly 100′000 spam messages, but lately I noticed that a lot of blatant spam messages (3 words, one link) get through. Am I the only one that noticed this? It’s getting pretty tedious having to delete spam comments every 5 minutes.
