Redirection for Wordpress

Quite some time ago I migrated my blog from a folder in the main domain to a subdomain. Problem was that many incoming links were still pointing to the old location and I didn’t want to loose all those links, as they are quite important for Pagerank.

The solution was Redirection, a WordPress plugin to manage 301 redirections, keep track of 404 errors, and generally tidy up any loose ends your site may have.

It made it possible to redirect all users to the content they were looking for, without loosing a single page view to a 404 – Page not found error.

Also by tracking all 404 errors it allows me to easily identify incoming traffic that would usually be lost and redirect it to some meaningfull content.

Thanks Redirection for saving me 2041 incoming visits :)

This website uses IntenseDebate comments, but they are not currently loaded because either your browser doesn't support JavaScript, or they didn't load fast enough.

Do you know if it is available for 2.71? I was told that it was not working for this version.
